A $30,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening a woman on Monday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Antonio Haywood, 40, with aggravated assault.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Lt. Derrick Neal, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said the victim approached Haywood about retrieving a tire iron that she had loaned him.

West said Haywood has an extensive criminal history in Arkansas and other states and multiple convictions for burglary, battery, and theft of property, and has also failed to appear in court. He has no pending charges.

Haywood was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to return to court on May 22.
