A $25,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly robbed another man Friday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Taylor Phillips, 19, with aggravated robbery and theft of property.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deput Prosecutor Beth Carson said at about 2 p.m., police were sent to South Olive Street where the victim said he was robbed by two black males.

When Phillips was interviewed, he initially said he didn’t know anything about the robbery but later said he took only the money order and not the cash.

Carson said Phillips has pending charges of communicating a false alarm which caused damage to property.

He was told to come back to court Dec. 21 and ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
