A $25,000 cash-only bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man on drug-related charges.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Patrick Stribling, 38, with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver and tampering with evidence.

Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King asked for the cash-only bond because Stribling has two open cases, one from 2019, and the other from last year both on drug-related charges.

Reading from an affidavit from Tri-County Drug Task Force Investigator Dennis Kendall, King said investigators were at 16th Avenue and Linden Street Tuesday and were behind a white Chevrolet Cobalt that turned south on Linden Street without using a turn signal but did use a signal halfway through the turn.

Stribling was taken to the adult detention center and was not questioned because he asked for an attorney. He was told to come back to court Oct. 31.
