A $25,000 cash-only bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man accused of breaking into a truck and taking a set of Apple Ear Pods.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Matthew Ludwig, 32, with breaking or entering.

Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said police were sent to the Econo Lodge at 210 N Blake St., Monday in response to a report that items had been taken from a truck parked at Motel 6.

King said the ear pods were found in Ludwig’s room and security video showed him entering a truck parked on the lot and showed Ludwig entering a room afterward.

Ludwig has several cases pending in circuit court and was told to come back to district court June 14.
