$25,000 bond set for man fleeing traffic stop and causing several wrecks

A $25,000 bond was set for a Pine Bluff man accused of not stopping at a stop sign and fleeing a traffic stop initiated by an Arkansas State Trooper.

Pine Bluff District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Fredrick Tate, 37, with Leaving the scene of an accident, Fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, and several tickets involving fictitious tags and no proof of insurance.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit by Trooper Darrel Hinton,  Deputy Prosecutor Joe West stated what led to the arrest.

West went on to explain what happened next.

Tate has prior convictions of residential burglary and a warrant out of White Hall court for an unpaid fine and community service work. He was ordered to return to court on January 30th and was appointed to the public defender’s office to represent him.
