A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man on drug, weapons, and fleeing allegations.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jeremy Shephard, 34, with second-degree criminal mischief, felony fleeing, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said Arkansas State Trooper Darryl Hinton reported that Hinton began a pursuit of a white Chevrolet Impala driven by Shephard at about 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.

When troopers searched the vehicle, they found a Smith and Wesson nine-millimeter pistol with live rounds in it and 17 green blue pills that tested positive for cocaine.

West said Shephard has a previous drug-related conviction. He said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court April 13.
