A $20,000 bond was set Friday for a White Hall man on drug and weapons charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Davone Chapman, 28, with possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Maj. Mickey Buffkin, Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed said on Thursday, Buffkin was notified by the Arkansas State Police and Homeland Security that a package containing four pounds of marijuana was at the UPS store in Little Rock and scheduled to be delivered to an apartment at White Hall.

Reed said Chapman has no prior criminal history and he said he would hire his own attorney.
