A $20,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff man accused of sexually assaulting two juveniles on Tuesday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Mark Warren, 47, with two counts of sexual indecency with a child and second-degree sexual assault.

Warren was arrested after police were sent to a motel on Market Street after a report of illegal sexual activity.

Two female victims, ages 11 and 14 told police they had been left in a room with Warren while their mother went for a swim and when they went to the pool, Warren inappropriately touched one of them on the bottom.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Tamina Smith, Deputy Prosecutor MIrcha King explained what police were told.

One of the victims told police that her mother left them and went to the casino and while she was gone, Warren exposed himself and asked if they were going to have sex. Warren also reportedly got marijuana for them to smoke.

When Warren was interviewed, he said his sister-in-law had asked him to watch her daughter and the daughter’s friend while she went to the casino and denied improperly touching either girl or making sexually explicit statements.

Warren was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled and said he would hire his own attorney.
