A Jonesboro man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly broke into a building at Jefferson Regional Hospital and stole radios.

Curtis Ashcraft, 33, was taken into custody after officers found him on the third floor of the hospital fighting with the staff there.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said officers working security at the hospital were sent to the professional building at 7:30 a.m. in response to a report that the building had been broken into.

Carson said Ashcraft has previously been convicted of breaking or entering and theft of property.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $20,000  bond for Ashcraft after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with commercial burglary.

He was told to come back to court July 19.
