20-year-old Pine Bluff man arrested for Capital Murder following Christmas day homicide investigation

20-year-old Darnell Ford has been arrested in connection to the murder of 24-year-old Deondrick Clark, who was murdered while sitting in a car in the parking lot of Ernesto’s Club at 218 S. Blake Street in Pine Bluff on Christmas day.

During the investigation Ford was developed as a suspect, according to a press release from the Pine Bluff Police Department.

According to the press release a Pine Bluff officer spotted Ford entering a residence in Pine Bluff on Thursday, September 8. The officer notified Detectives who then responded to the residence.

Ford fled from the residence on foot, but he was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

He was armed with an illegal firearm at the time of the chase. Ford was arrested and has been booked in at the Jefferson County jail on charges of Capital Murder, Terroristic Act, and Carrying a Prohibited Firearm.
