A Little Rock man was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Hazen Friday and one person was killed and three others injured in a one-vehicle accident at Little Rock in the early morning hours Sunday.

State Police identified the victim in the accident at Hazen as Reacis Amilio, 20, who reportedly lost control of the 2015 Dodge he was driving eastbound on I-40 at the rest stop. The vehicle hit the rear of a parked tractor-trailer and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

In the other accident, Erica Wofford, 20, of Arkadelphia was a passenger in a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Jose Lindo-Galindo, 21, of Little Rock that was eastbound on I-30 at the 131-mile marker. The vehicle attempted to take the exit then quickly merged back into traffic before rotating to the left and rolling over. The vehicle hit two other vehicles before coming to final rest on the inside shoulder.

Wofford was killed and Lindo-Galindo and two other passengers in the car, Kaycee Smith, 19, of Bryant and an unidentified male were injured and taken to hospitals at Little Rock. That accident was reported at 1:59 a.m.

There have now been 74 people killed in the state’s highways so far this year.
