A $15,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of pointing a gun at another woman and firing shots.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Kateland Terry, 26, with aggravated assault and dischargi8ng a firearm from a vehicle.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Sheriff’s Investigator Lt. Kaylon McDaniel, Deputy prosecutor Beth Carson said deputies were sent to a reported domestic disturbance on Walls Road Tuesday at about 7 a.m. The victim said she and her girlfriend Terry got into a verbal altercation that turned physical.

Carson said deputies attempted to make contact with Terry but were unable to do so. The victim then met with sheriff’s Investigator Sandra Harper who took a recorded statement.

McDaniel reported that Terry resisted arrest and had to be tazed and when she was placed in a deputy’s vehicle, she tried to kick the windows out.

She also refused to give consent to a search of the residence, so District Judge John Kearney signed a search warrant and a handgun was located in the house, and another gun was found in the vehicle. Deputies also found 47 grams of marijuana.

Terry was ordered to have no contact with the victim and has hired attorney William Howard to represent her.
