Three people including two juveniles and an adult were arrested Sunday after they allegedly broke into a house in Southwest Pine Bluff.
Lamar Bealer, 18, who has a prior conviction for a violent felony was taken into custody, along with the two juveniles, according to a probable cause affidavit from Detective Tamina Smith.
During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King read from that affidavit to explain the incident.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $15,000 bond for Bealer after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with residential burglary and aggravated assault.
King said Circuit Judge Jodi Raines Dennis issued a warrant for Bealer after he failed to appear in court on Aug. 4 for a revocation hearing and ordered that any bond he had posted in that case be forfeited. He went on to say that Bealer has been convicted of at least one but less than one prior felony and if convicted in this case, should be sentenced as a habitual offender.
