A Pine Bluff man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly punched his elderly grandfather.

Nicholas Lowery, 28, was taken into custody after police responded to a reported domestic disturbance.

During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King explained the allegations against Lowery.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $15,000 bond for Lowery after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with second-degree domestic battery. Lowery was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
