New Life Church, located at 2801 South Olive Street (Jefferson Square Shopping Center) in Pine Bluff, AR, presents its Big Screen series.
Each Sunday at 10:00am, a popular movie is shown to unpack topics and situations experienced in life, according to a news release.
“Jesus taught through parables, using situations and characters relevant to the people He spoke to,” Pastor Matt Mosler said in a post on Facebook. “As He unfolded each story, He explained biblical principles and the Father’s love. And just as a character’s story plays out in a movie, God is writing our stories. So, invite your friends, grab some popcorn, and join us for Big Screen these next few weekends!”
On Sunday, December 9, 2018, “The Greatest Showman” will be shown.
Phineas T. Barnum came from nothing, but his determination and vision drive him to fame and success, the news release stated. Yet as his fame grows, Barnum begins to struggle with losing sight of his priorities in life.
“Join us this weekend as we learn from this movie how to keep the main thing, the main thing,” Mosler said.
