A $100,000 bond was set Thursday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of shooting another woman last week.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Latonya Smith, 45, with first-degree battery, committing a terroristic act, and tampering with evidence.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said at 3:58 p.m. on March 22, police were in the area of 17th Avenue and Hazel when they received a report of a shooting at a convenience store at 17th Avenue and Hazel Street.

Detective Corey Wilfong reported that police obtained video from inside the store that showed the victim being approached by Smith and the fight. Store employees broke up the fight and the victim left the store. The employees helped Smith up off the floor and she ran out the front door.

Smith was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court on May 3.
