A reported shooting at a house on West 29th Friday resulted in the arrest of a Pine Bluff man who allegedly shot a relative.

Michael Borders, 41, was taken into custody after he was found walking near the area where the shooting occurred and matched the description given by the victim.

During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Karres Manning said police were sent to 519 W. 29th in response to a reported shooting and talked to the victim.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Borders after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with first-degree domestic battery and with being a felon in possession of a firearm because of prior convictions.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
