A $10,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly hit a juvenile during an altercation at an apartment Saturday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to  charge Antonio Martin, 32, with second-degree domestic battery.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Enrique Soto, Deputy Prosecutor MIrcha King said officers were sent to 2920 S. Fir St., where the victim said Martin had hit her 9-year-old son in the face.

Martin was located in another apartment and was detained until police could question the child.

Martin was ordered to have no contact with the child until the case is settled and told to come back to court April 20.
