A Dumas man was arrested Wednesday after he was found using a video camera to take photographs under a woman’s dress.

Herman Brassfield, 41, was taken into custody after police were sent to Super 1 Foods on East Harding Avenue at 11:35 a.m.

During a court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said a female customer reported that she was shopping when she saw Brassfield on the floor taking pictures under her dress. She said she yelled at Brassfield and he walked out of the store.

McGriff said Sgt. Michael Roberts read Brassfield his rights and Brassfield indicated he understood them.

Jefferson5 County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Brassfield Friday after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with video voyeurism. He said he would hire his own attorney.
