A $10,000 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of stealing a vehicle from a car lot.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond for Jason Holmes, 32, after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with theft by receiving.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King explained the circumstances leading up to the arrest.

King told the court that Holmes had no prior convictions and Judge Kearney appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Holmes. He was told to come back to court Nov. 4.
