On January 22, 2025, at approximately 2:35 P.M., Pine Bluff Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of West 3rd Avenue and Walnut Street, in reference to a collision.
Upon arrival, Officers noticed a white dump truck and a bluish-green colored Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck had both collided and the pickup truck struck a utility pole.
The driver of the pickup truck, 61-year-old William Lawrence was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Doug McCurry at 3:31 P.M.
63-year-old Raymond Cashel, driver of the white dump truck, was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center by EASI Ambulance Service Inc. and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
